| I can't help, but I can tell you that I had a hosting company that allowed you to install it as well. I fought with poor service, and had setup a couple of stores and then I switched to a real company who specialized in oscommerce and installed it there. Boy, what a difference. The installations were VERY VERY different. The file layout was different and everything that confused me when I read on the boards, became clearer once I saw it installed properly. Of course, then I discovered MAX |

| Max installs exactly the same as a stock osCommerce. Same installer program, same file and permission requirements. It is a snap. If you explain to them that you do not expect support, they should install it for you. If not, try it yourself. Installation is pretty easy, even for those with little knowledge of servers or php/mysql. The worst that could happen is that it doesnt work the first couple of times. Just re-run the installer if you have problems, and it will overwrite bad config settings, so you can do a little trial and error...

| Simple - Follow the instructions. FTP the WHOLE 'catalog' and the 'admin' directory (MAX aready has the 'ADMIN' inside the 'catalog' where as some version of OSC has 2 separate directories) to your server. Then load the "install" via your web browser.... www.yoursitename.com\catalog\install Follow the prompts - check out the online help button for each feild if you need help. If in doubt check to make sure the files are in place (make sure all files are FTPed there) and re-run the install. ONLY install the database ONCE! Once it has been sucessfully "imported" you can still rerun the install - but DON'T import the database again, to change your configuration. Good luck.
