main page error "error_file_not_writable"

This is a discussion on main page error "error_file_not_writable" within the osCMax v1.7 Installation forums, part of the osCmax v1.7 Forums category; I get that error when I try to change main page through admin. Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks....

    Default

    Change the permissions on the file (CHMOD) to 644 or 664 so you can write to the file.
