Default Is it best to recreate a dbase or import one

Hi,

I have a dbase with osc 2.2 on another site, but am upgrading to Max 1.5 which I have on another site.

I have quite a few items in my current dbase and everyone of them will be needed in the new Max.

Is it better to create a new dbase and somehow import everything or use the old dbase with Max.

Thanks

The best method I have used is to make a copy of the original database, then use mysqldiff to compare the copy with the structure from MAX. The resulting sql instructions then can be run to update the structure of the copy. Once the structure is updated, import all the configuration and admin data from the MAX database into the copy.

You will then be able to use the copy with max...

Thank you

I've never used mysqldiff, but will find it and give it a go.
