Default new install of MS2-MAX

D'oh I screwed things up. Okay I followed the instructions for installing MS2-MAX, but I'm stuck at:

"Password protect your /catalog/admin dir using .htaccess "

I am not at all a programmer and have no idea how to do that.
Actually, I accessed my server and entered:

htpasswd -b -c .htpasswd user pass

in Putty.
Thats everything, any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

does your host provide password protected directories? That's how I did mine.

if u just don't want to use the .htaccess, then skip that stuff, and when u finish the install, enter the admin section and login as follows:
user: admin@localhost.com
pass: admin

then, in future, when u decide to make your ms2-max secure, i think you'll be able to configure your installation to be more secure, with .htaccess and .htpassword, etc.

i learnt a lot today !! nice niceeee !
