Default mysql change from _pconnect to _connect

I continually have problems when working with MS2-Max getting a too many connections call from the server. The server administrator says that I can fix this with a change in the connection to mysql from _pconnect to _connect. How do you go about this in oscommerce.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

John

Easy - in both configure.php files find and change:

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); // use persistent connections?

It should be close to the bottom of each file.
