Trying to delete categories problem need help

when I try to delete categories I get this error

I went and commented out the lines on general.php
then I got this error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_set_time_limit() in /home/virtual/site98/fst/var/www/html/catalog/admin/categories.php on line 176

then commented out
categories.php in admin line 176

Then the categories wouldn't delete at all..
please Help me What am I doing wrong..
and how do I fix it.

I got it to workk
I just played around and commented different parts and now it works.
