Smile ECHO Payment Module on BTS

Hi All,
I really like this new forum!!
I have echo-inc.com as my credit card merchant and I am happy with them but I need help installing their Payment Module so I can process credit cards and checks online. I know the BTS system is suppose to be easy but for a non programmer like me I am having trouble understanding it. Echo’s support staff wrote their contribution for the standard oscommerce but they don’t understand the BTS either. So, has any one using OSCMax 1.7 ever installed their ECHO Payment Module v1.7.3? Or may be someone could take a look at it and give me some clues as to where I add the different codes in the BTS system. I just don’t understand the layout enough to know where the codes go. I am using the OSC skin. I have attached their zip file. There is an upgrade to this version but I’ll start with there’s first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Jacob

Welcome to osCMax.com!

Looks pretty easy to me... Any edits that would normally go into a file in your /catalog directory will most likely go in a file of the same name (but with a tpl.php extension) in the templates/fallback/content directory.

Other that that, I can see no major issues and it should be a quick install.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your help!!! I just finish installing this modification in all five of my retail web sites. It wasn’t a clean install I had to get help from the ECHO staff who tweaked the OSCMax 1.7 PHP pages so it would run. But all is fine now! Both the CCard and the Check modules process directly into their online portal. If anyone wants a copy of ECHO’s changes just send me an e-mail and I’ll forward you a zipped copy. Or should I attach them to this page?

Thumbs up Re: ECHO Payment Module on BTS

Hi Michael,

Note: I am getting an error when I first open the ECHO Payment Processing under Customers. (The default is set to NO) “1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-15, 15' at line 1”. But after I change it to ALL or YES everything shows up OK.

Sure, post the zip as an attachment here, and I will sticky the thread so others who are looking for it can find it easily.

Opps, I spoke to soon! I left my old CC processing up just incase there was a problem with the new ECHO processing. Mainly because I was only able to test theirs through a test set up. So, when I went to test the old CC process I got the following error. Credit Card Error! "The first four digits of the number entered are: <br>If that number is correct, we do not accept that type of credit card.<br>If it is wrong, please try again." Do you think there is a conflict between the two CC processors? I check the forum and this error was mostly with another service. One of the changes you make with this contribution is to the orders.php in the admin section. For now I am going to uninstall the old one and wait and see if I get an error with the new ECHO cc module. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks,
jrosselli
