display 5 items in bestsellers box

I want to change the number of best sellers from 10 to 5 in the best seller box. When I open catalog/includes/boxes/best_sellers.php there is '. MAX_DISPLAY_BESTSELLERS' . Does this have something to do with it and where is this defined?

The setting you want can be found in the Admin Panel. Goto 'Configuration' --> 'Max Values' You want to change 'Selection of Products on Special' for 10 to whatever. This page also has the number of items displayed for search results and number of new products displayed amoungst others.
