pl help urgent shipping module gripe

Hi

I have several categories and each one has different shipping matrix. Care has been taken to add necessary code for identification and shipping cost/matrix has been identified whiling listing each category. Where necessary table has been created based either on value &/or weight.

Inspite of all the above cart doesn’t show correct shipping cost it goes mostly wrong when multiple categories are added.

I am sure the OSCmax is suppose to handle this part. I would appreciate any help on this. I am using both ver 1.7& 2.0

What shipping module are you using?

Thanks a ton for responding. I am using oscmax 1.7. How do I find out about shipping module I am using.

Ok, you need to back up if you don't even know what module you are using.

Go into the admin and under Modules/Shipping, which one are you using?

In Admin> Modules I can see 3 modules
Payment
Shipping
Order Total

Under Shipping Module following options are available :
Federal Express
Flat Rate
FREE SHIPPING! 600
Individual Shipping
Per Item
Table Rate 800
United Parcel Service
United States Postal Service
Zone Rates

You are using the table rate shipping module.

Table rate cannot be applied to specific categories. It applies to ALL products. It cannot do what you want to do. You may want to check for shipping contributions at osCommerce.com to see if there is one that can do what you want.
