Default product attribute text option question

I have created two attribute options for a product, a text option and a select option. After I populate the option values in product info and proceed to my shopping cart, I don't see the text option name listed. The text option value preceeded by a colon and the select option and value appear as normal. Should I also see the text option name as one would expect?

Default RE: product attribute text option question

I don't see it either. There must be a bug with the text option, because I'm having all types of problems as well.
Can you do me a favor and place a test order and fill out the text box and see if it shows up in the admin and confirmation email. They are not for me.

I can confirm that the text name doesn't show up in admin. I haven't tested email yet. To complicate the problem, I have noticed if you proceed from the shopping cart to checkout and are forced to login, you don't get the text name or value in the order. Can you confirm this?

This is not a bug.

None of these problems are on the test store at http://demo.oscmax.com, so most likely you do not have the text option set up correctly in your Products/Attributes, or have broken something while editing your shop.

You can see it working by doing a test order from the demo v1.7 shop. Here is a product:

http://demo.oscmax.com/product_info.php?products_id=14

The first text option, New Text Option: is set up correctly, and the field name and values is passed all the way through the order, through login and checkout, admin orders section and the order emails. The other text values on this product are not correctly setup, so the value is passed, but not the field name.

Grab the Option Type Feature mod from osCommerce.com and read the docs. It explains how to set up text options.

The problem persists. I should mention that I entered the product attributes with Attributes Manager and this was before I discovered the
"PPRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUE_TEXT_ID" bug.

Attached are some snapshots that may help.

You are set up wrong. There should only ever be one TEXT option value and it should be ID 0. See this thread for proper setup:
