Default Pricing Mod, possible?

Hello! I recently discovered OSC Max, and must say Im really liking the application, but I have a special need I havent seen a solution for yet ...

What I need is this ... Our business has 2 types of customers, retail and wholesale. I need a mod that will display retail price to members of the retail group, and displays BOTH retail and wholesale price to the wholesale group. This is because my wholesale customers use the retail pricing to quote thier customers, and they would like to see both prices on the screen without having 2 logins.

Is there a mod for this that anyone knows of? Id like to manage this without having to duplicate items in the store. We deal in appliance parts, and have about 200,000 active products!

Thanks in advance!

I think Ive come up with a possible solution, though I need some advice on it, since Im more of an administrator and not a coder.

I need an extra line on the item details page, that simply states ...

List Price: ($XX.XX)

... where XX.XX is the normal cost pulled from the retail cost table. No calculations need to be done, and this could be displayed to both retail and wholesale customers. As an added bonus, Id like to add this data to the cart eventually as well.

I guess what I need to know now is, can I change these files? And which files should I be changing? Im sure I can work out the code.

Sorry for the bonehead questions!

Yes you should be able to do something like this, but it may take quite a bit of coding.

You may want to start with the product_info.tpl.php (in your template dir) and see how it currently displays pricing.
