UPS Shipping - Free Ground question

Hi All,

I am using UPS Choice 1.8 with OSCMAX 1.5.5 (as packaged).

I need to offer Free Ground Shipping (UPS) but charge for other UPS options.

After trying several options with Free Shipping etc., I put in a
check in ups.php (after the quote is received from UPS) to zero out the cost ($cost) when the shipment type is Ground (GND).

This works fine - it shows up the the last option on screen and the checkout calculations are also done correctly (zero for Ground and the right price for the rest).

My only problem is that the Radio Button (checkout_payment template) for the zero dollars is NOT selected (although it is the cheapest). The next lowest (which is 2nd Day Air) is selected.

If the customers do not notice this and change the selection to Ground then they will be charged 2nd Day air - not good!!!!

Any suggestions on how this cheapest rate logic works and where to fix it?
