Extra pages-info box w/ admin

Is there an easier way to add extra pages in oscmax or do you recommend installing the Extra pages-info box w/ admin contribution?

the module is great, but has set backs such as all links get placed in a single box. Which stifles custom designs. So we typically add pages manually, a link to do so is here, http://www.oscdox.com/modules.php?op...gNewBoxesToMax

I started to add this mod Extra pages with Admin and got to the step which required modifications to the catalog/index.php and contact_us.php and realized that there are references to code that does not exist in OscMax... So has anyone any tips on how I can add this mod? Specifically the last two steps, which change the index.php and contact_us.php.
