FEDEX Module Error

I have the Fedex Module installed and all of the information (acc number, meter number, etc) is correct in the settings. But when I enable the module and do a test checkout I get the following...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: curl_init() in /vservers/moonlighttech/htdocs/shop/includes/modules/shipping/fedex1.php on line 221

I'm using OSCMax 1.7 , does anyone know how to fix this?

You do not have curl compiled into php, which is required. Recompile PHP with curl.

I'm a total novice with curl... can you tell me how I would do that, or can my host do that for me?

Unless you have root access, your host will need to do it. Most likely, they will not do it though. Hosts don't like recompiling for just one user. On the other hand, it never hurts to ask. They may have just forgotten it on the latest recompile...
