USPS shipping weights

My USPS shipping module adds one pound automatically. This prevents me from shipping a disc that weighs 3 oz by first class because it shows it as 1 lb. + 3 oz.

How can I get rid of that extra pound that shouldn't be there anyway?

I have tried entering the weight but it insists on adding that pound.

Any ideas??

Might be coming from the "package tare weight" in the configuration page that's got the shipping on it. Go into admin, configuration, shipping, and change that to .2 or something and try it. I have no idea if that's it, but it's all I can come up with that might be causing it.
