Default Authorize.net Test w/o test mode?

Kind of a convoluted situation. We have 3 websites, 2 are live and working fine with Authorize.net, one is running the dreaded Miva, the other a lightly tweaked copy of OSC 2.2-MS2 with the older Authorize.net mod (no transaction key)

The 3rd is under development running MS2-MAX with a newer Authorize.net mod that uses the transaction key. When its good to go it will be cloned to replace the other 2 sites, but now it seems I can't get the Authorize.net mod to work.

I can't put the account in test mode on the Authorize.net end because I'd lose live sales. When I checkout with a test CC#, I get "There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again." I can't tell if this is because I'm not in test mode at Authorize.net or what.

Any ideas of how to test it without disabling the other 2 stores? Can I edit authorizenet_direct.php temporarily to do test mode on a per transaction basis?

Authorize.net simply has TOO MUCH INFO for one brain to comprehend in my lifetime.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

You could test it with a real credit card, then void the transaction in A-net before it batches for the day...

Thanks! Thats such a simple solution... no wonder I didn't think of it!
I still have a problem to sort out. The settings required by this Authorize.net mod breaks the ones used by Miva, and possibly the older Authorize.net mod for OSC MS2.2
... so its on hold till I can update those to do Transaction Version 3.1 and CCV

I need a bigger coffee cup.

Have you figured out what the problem was with authorize.net? We are having the same problem after switching to ms2 max. We tried with a live credit card and still get that same error. If you figure out why it is doing this I would appreciate you passing the info on.

Guest, the most common problems are :

cURL + SSL not compiled into PHP
    Wrong path to cURL
    Incorrect settings in Authorize Net

There is a good thread on this topic:

    Hi everyone,

I still got the same message, " There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again. " even though I already follow all the instructions. I've changed the authorize.net settings, got the curl path correctly and still the same message.

I am desparate right now, have been working to solve this out for the past 4 days. Please help

never mind. I figured it out ...

Changed the CURL path: /usr/local/bin/curl ... and it worked

    Thanks,
    Emon
