Full description in product listing contribution in MS2-Max?

I need to have full product descriptions displayed like in http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=72870 so that I can have catagory page showing all products in that catagory in one column with image, full description, price and buy me button.

I tried the contribution shown above, but some files are different in Max than straight OSC. I ended up with no description and double image or buy me button - whichever was set to be the last column.

I am going to try this again (with plenty of coffee at hand) but was wondering if anybody has made this work.

Update:

I get as far as modifying catalog/includes/classes/boxes.php with no appearent changes. As soon as I make the first change on catalog/index.php it starts freaking out.

From the install instructions:

I suggest you alter your index.php file

catalog/index.php

Find:
'PRODUCT_LIST_NAME' => PRODUCT_LIST_NAME,
Below add:
// ################### Products Description Hack begins #######################
'PRODUCT_LIST_DESCRIPTION' => PRODUCT_LIST_DESCRIPTION,
// ################### Products Description Hack ends ###################

Which causes the last column to be "cloned" ie. whatever it is image/price/etc. is duplicated. This only happens when the Display Product Description option is set to 99 (on).

Making the rest of the changes on index.php doesn't fix it.

I copied and pasted a before and after source of the resulting page. Border was added to enhance clarity.

Notice that the left version of the buy me column doesn't have a proper heading but the text allignment is incorrect in the right hand one. Don't know what it means. Any ideas?

I tried everything I could think of but it still didn't work. So, undo the changes and on to the next project.
If anyone ever figures this out I would appreciate a PM so that I can give it another try.
