Hi,

How does this module work? Is it based on # of items in the shopping cart or the value of the shopping cart?

Thanks

If weight is zero - there is no freight calulated. If there is weight then "free shipping" is not used on that item.

Is there a module that will let me offer free shipping if the order is greater than a dollar amount?

I don't know if this will meet your needs, but you can try going into Admin-->Modules-->Shipping and install the "Table Rate" option.

This will let you set shiping costs based on dollar amount
Up to 20.00 - shipping =5.00
Up to 50.00 - shipping = 7.50
Up to 100.00 - shipping =10.00
Over 100.00 - shipping = FREE

Sorry for the delay in responding.

The table rate (which is accessible in ms2max via ADMIN --> MODULES --> SHIPPING --> TABLE RATE) allows you to set shipping prices (including "free") based on total price or total weight.

If you're trying to implement it based on total items, you could give all your items a set weight (like 1 LB) and then set pricing based on how many LBs.

5LBs = 5.00
10LB=7.00
12LB=FREE

Does that help?

OOOPS! Not logged in!

When you use TABLE RATE, it shows up as "TABLE RATE" under shipping method, but - as with nearly everything else it seems - you can change that.

I'm not sure if I'm talking about the sam mod.. but when I do a checkout.. free shipping has a shipping cost. I've used OSC before, but this is my first with OSC-MAX so I'm not quite sure what mod it is... it's called Free Shipping but what it's doing, doesn't make sense.
