Losing my mind with Gift Voucher mod

Here's the deal - for some reason Gift Voucher isn't seeing the tables in my database. Here's the error:

1146 - Table 'cafeprod_commerce.TABLE_COUPON_GV_CUSTOMER' doesn't exist

select amount from TABLE_COUPON_GV_CUSTOMER where customer_id = '7'

I've verified that the tables are there, I've dropped them and rerun the .sql script included in the GV .zip file (four times), and this error won't go away. I _could_ just disable the whole mod, but I kind of need to use it - so that option mostly won't work.

Anybody got any ideas?
