Default Warning !!! Attributes copier needs to be written for MS2!

I went to oscommerce contributions page and downloaded the attributes copier file. I backed up my db and uploaded the files and for a moment it seemed to be a dream come true.

Then I discovered that the html feature of categories and products was gone.

Thing got bad, the osc logo appeared on every page...

then the worst. I could not copy attributes of one product to another without running into error messages.

So I decided to cut my losses and restored my db. But some things are still screwy.

If the MS2-MAX dudes could write a special version of attributes copier then that would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

PS If thats too much at the moment can you give us some guidelines to follow when using the attributes copier contribution so no one will go through what I did yet still benefit from its features.

    Yes, please!

Is it possible to include the Attributes Copier contribution in MS2-MAX 1.5?
This is a must-have contribution for me.

    Many thanks!

No, v1.5 is already released. I stopped adding new mods a couple of weeks ago, and have been working on making operate without errors.

I will look at it for the next release, it should be a pretty easy fit. There is an alternate attributes handler installed in 1.5, but not sure if they are even close in function. Probably not.

bushman, I really have not had a chance to look at the mod in question. Like any mod for MS2-MAX, you cannot simply overwrite files. You will have to compare the new files with the MS2-MAX files and then migrate the differences. Also, some of the files will not match, because of the BTS template directory. You will have to move the changes to the templates and templates/content dir.

I will take a look sometime next week, and see what the deal is... I need to catch up on some sleep
