Default [MS2-MAX Update] Download Controller 5.3 Package

I have added Linda McGrath's download controller 5.3 to MS2-MAX, and I have also put together a safe update package if you just want to drop the module into MS2-MAX without having to re install the entire package.

I have tested it out pretty thoroughly, and have not had any problems with it. I am sure there may be a few things I overlooked, but it should work pretty well.

Just download the attached zip file and upload the included files. It is safe to overwrite the MS2-MAX files with the updated files in this package. Please read the README file included in the zip file for further instructions.

NOTE: It is a good idea to backup your files and database before adding this package, just to be safe!

You can see the download controller in action on MS2-MAX here:
http://64.191.34.201/~ms2max/catalog/index.php

This package has not yet been added to the full MS2-MAX install.

hi-
i tried downloading this file, and the file name is 'DC5_3_MS2-MAX.zip.php" (.php at the end). I was unable to open this file. Any ideas? (Also, I was not able to download using IE 6.0...had to use Mozilla)
Thanks!

Hello msasek,

I have a queation about the DC.

After the customer is processed thru the payment procedure, how do they gain access to the download?

Is a link emailed to them, or do they login to their account? If they login, where do they go to download the file?

In-Overtime, the link shows up on the final chekout page if it is set to be auto enabled. If you have it set where it needs admin approval, they can get the link from their account section when they login.

Cool! Quick question - when entering the "filename" in the attributes, do I use a relative URL, the entire URL, or just the filename?

Simply enter just the filename. No directories.
