I'm going to try a reinstall and let you know how that goes.
I am having the same issues. I have down loaded both files listed in this posting and added them both(at different times) to /catalog/includes/modules ...both produced the same results. I select x-sell product from the admin and the page refreshes without adding it. I am going to check out OSC.com, find and reinstall this mod.

Mike,
Be careful reinstalling. As always Back Up.
Is it a case of the new file NOT overwriting the old file??
As you can appreciate Michael has changed numerous files & added numerous tables to the database etc in adding these 20 or so mods.
Personally I'd recommend grabbing the latest 1.5 & extracting the files you need. Deleting the old file & then inserting the new.

Neil,
Thanks for the advice. I guess I should have been more clear...as in reinstall I meant going through the steps to make sure everything that was supposed to be done was done. Which I did. It looked as if one fo the steps in the admin section was missed:
As this was not in the application_top.php in the admin section. i added it and remained hopeful. I checked the rest of the mod, adn everything looks as it should. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. and X-sell still does not function properly.Code:STEP 3: Add the following lines to admin/includes/application_top.php define('TABLE_PRODUCTS_XSELL', 'products_xsell');
I have made significant changes to the store already, so scrapping it and going to version 1.5 is practically not an option.
Platform: Linux
Webserver: Apache
Browser: I.E. 6.0
I really need a fix for this.
There is no spoon.
Has anyone been able to get this to work ? I am desperate.
There is no spoon.
mike_steinhoff, I cannot get it to fail, so I am no help to you. It works perfectly for me on all sites that I have running it (over 200 now). Are you getting a javascript error in your browser?
Also, Step 3 was not missed, it was modified to work with the new MS2-file structure. That define is in /includes/database_tables.php, so you may want to remove what you added. Your problem is isolated and probably specific to your browser. Try installing another browser and see if it works. If it does, time to start debugging IE. I would suggest an anti-spyware proggie to start (SpyBot S&D is my fav). If it doesnt work in Netscape either, you have a couple of other options. You can either try another browser, or SpyBot, or change your caching settings, clearing the cache. I am 99% sure it is browser related. (but I could be wrong)

Msasek,
I have deleted the cache, and the history for IE 6.0. I have installed Netscape 7.1. I have ran my spyware program "ad-aware" and deleted everything it found. I also d/l'd and ran SpyBot S&D. I do not get a Java script error.
The results are the same. I click on add, I select the product to add then submite. A screen pops up asking me "Click Here to add a new cross sale", I click on it and it takes me to the original cross-sell screen w/o addig the product. If it is browser related, then why are the products not being added to the database ?
I would be willing to provide you with URL and login information to the admin section for you to take a look if possible.
Thanks
Mike
