Default Permissions error with ssl

Hi everyone, thanks for the great community. I've been searching the past few days straight & still haven't found the answer. My problem is that the checkout process worked fine with ssl disabled, but when I enabled it & entered all the config info, the checkout button gives the following error:

Warning: main(includes/application_top.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /yadda yadda/public_html/catalog/checkout_shipping.php on line 13

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/phpssl/lib/php') in /yadda yadda/public_html/catalog/checkout_shipping.php on line 13

I've checked & double checked the chmod permissions, deleted and restored the .htaccess files, and still absolutely no luck. Any ideas? I'm running bts & the register globals patch. Thanks so much.

Default Re: Permissions error with ssl

First, check with your host to see if ssl is properly configured.

Second, find out if you have a separate ssl directory that your files must go into. That could be the issue.
