Contact Us problem

Hi all,
I added the fix for the contact us security problem. But it did not solve my problem. I suspect it is because my client's store is older than 1.7. I think it is 1.5.1. She is getting emails with porn links from her contact form.

I have come to the end of my knowledge. Is there a place I can find OscMax experts who can fix, upgrade, or build a store for this client? I am not doing stores any longer and have done as much as I know to do.

I don't want to leave this hosting client in the lurch. I already told here she may have to pay someone to fix it or upgrade/rebuild.

Hi,

If you update your v1.5 to 1.55 using the patch in the downloads section, then apply all the patches in this dir (except the Merchant Partners patch) you will have a v1.7 effectively. Then you should be able to apply the security patches to that...

Hi again Michael,
I did as you suggested. And still the nasties post porn emails to the contact form.

I did the 1.5 to 1.5.5 patch, then did the addons to get to 1.7. Then, I made all the changes in the update-20051112.html file. Including the sql commands at the bottom. Then I went back and checked those patches again. What am I missing? I can see the nasties access the contact for through the Who's Online feature. Then I look in the Inbox for that email address and there is the email with the same timestamp.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Can you pm me the url to your site, and also if you want, pm me FTP details and I will look to make sure your files are all properly patched.
