Default OscMax Version - Where to find it?

Hi all,
I searched the forums because I was sure there would be a question about this, but did not find any.

How can you tell, what version of OscMax you are running?

Tracy

Default RE: OscMax Version - Where to find it?

All oscmax 2 versions tell you in the admin panel in the upper right. Anything before that, you will have to look in /includes/aaplication_top.php for :

Code:
// define the project version
  define('PROJECT_VERSION', 'osCMax v2.0');
The osCMax v2.0 my be different if you have a different version.

Hi msasek,

I think it might be version 1.5.1, but in application_top.php it says:

define('PROJECT_VERSION', 'osCommerce 2.2-MS2');

Yes, if you have anything older than 1.7, it will not have any sort of version number in it...

Tracy if your still using that - there is a few MAJOR security holes in it (see posts about contact_us problems and p0rn ads....). Update your site using the patch files in the download or update site to RC3.

Hi jpf,
Thanks for the tip.

I followed Michael's instructions to upgrade to 1.5.5, then to 1.7, and then patch. But I am having a major problem with the Option Type Feature breaking. See my post Here:
http://oscdox.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-7087.html

I am awaiting Michael's reply, in the meantime, I am trying to comfort my client who's store is broken during her busy season. I wish I had gotten around to learning PHP.

I do very much appreciate all the help here.

Tracy
