Paypal slight error

I have 1 store left using v1.7 and have just enabled the Paypal module. All goes fine to Paypal and the basket shows the correct amounts but I have this error message at the top over at Paypal with a warning triangle - Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.

All the info has been passed correctly so I don't know why the error is coming up.

Can anyone help me please?

Brief update - still not fixed. I have searched and searched and have read that it is probably because Paypal now requires a value in a field that it accepted a blank value for before.

Can anyone please tell me how I can find out what is missing?

Hi, we were also blindsided by this new change to the appearance of the paypal payment processing page. I

I contacted paypal and they were not "aware" of any changes that were made to the system. At any rate, customers can still make a payment, they just have to enter in all of the appropriate information on the paypal page.

It looks like order information that is passed from the OSCommerce site to the paypal site is getting some sort of validation before being posted to the paypal form, which triggers this error message. If I come up with a better explanation or a solution I will post it here and if anyone else has anything else to offer, please do the same.

Thanks for replying! I am still no nearer a solution, but I'm not a coder so I find these things difficult. If I find a solution, I will certainly let you know. All other stores I have done with v1.7 also have tis error and they didn't when I set them up, so I don't know what has changed but it must be *something*. I am now using v2RC2 and there is no problem there.

I wish I knew how to fix it. I will let you know if I do!
