Gift voucher balance not being subtracted. Any ideas?

Hi,

Im using OscMax 1.7 and CCGV 5.05 . Things have been working great, but I have a customer that has been able to pay with the same gift voucher three times!

They are paying with paypal and this is a gift voucher that was sent via the admin panel as a credit. I have looked thorugh the osc and oscdox forums but Im not able to find a clear solution.

If anyone can point me to a fix I would appreciate it.

I'm probably the least qualified to try and help, but my guess is something to do with the sort order. It's processing the paypal before it's handling the gift voucher. I've seen a lot of issues (I have some of them myself), with Paypal and those types of things, and it is always tied back to sort order.

If I only understood what that meant......I could fix my own stuff

After digging even deeper I've gotten more of a clue. The paypal IPN that is installed with OSCMAX is PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN version 1.7.
There was a fix for versions 2.4 and beyond for a problem like mine, but I cannot find the answer for version 1.7. After 1.7 the contribution changes directory structure, etc. and because the site is live we do not want to make the upgrade to 2.4 at this time.

So if anyone can help me with what changes to implement to get PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN version 1.7 and CCGV working so that the gift voucher value is removed from the shopping cart after checkout via paypal, I would REALLY appreciate it!
