default language not changing?

Hi everybody,

Two problems:

1. I have oscmax 1.7 installed and when I change the "default" to norwegian in the admin page, english is still the default when I enter the shop.

Sorting is set to 1 for norwegian and 2 for english. In my database I see that english has id1 and norwegian id5. The norwegian language package is a copy of the english package that I've translated/copied from a regular osc2.2ms2 package and all norwegian locals and stuff have been applied (I think).

Any ideas what could be causing this?

2. My customer hasn't finished translating all the products yet, but they are using the norwegian version of the page. I've solved this by making a redirect from domain.com to domain.com/shop/?language=no

As I'm about to start indexing the page in google and other engines, I'm wondering what will happend. Since the default language is english - the google bot might pick up the english part of the page?

Any suggestions/comments?

Then it is working.. . TYPICALLY it will detect your BROWSER default language (ie: your default language your OS is using... The GOOGLEBOT would pickup the english As for other languages - don't know... But it a good question.... Maybe country specific google submittion (in that language) might craw it as that language....

Hmmm well I've submitted the page, so we'll just wait and see

But since my customer doesn't want to show the english page before it's ready, is there a simple way I can avoid this?

Like if the session says english - redirect to norwegian?

Just a few siuggestions....
How about disabling the LANGUAGE selection....

or maybe

includes\classes\languages.php - remove everything but: 'no' => 'no|norwegian'????

Backup before changing.....
