Default Upgrading from MAX v1.7 to v2.0

I'm currently using MAX v1.7 and am thinking of upgrading to v2.0 because 2.2 is not quite ready enough for me. Has anyone upgraded this way? Is it even possible to keep EVERYTHING I have the same only upgrade to the less quarky v2.0? I want to upgrade but I have done a lot of work and I don't want to loose my configurations. Any input will be appreciated.

Carefully using Mysqldiff and/or manual editing of SQL DUMP FILES (using a DIFF tool like Beyond Compare) yes you can. BUT I would suggest doing it on a test server....

Search out site for "mysqldiff" for more info...
