| Having problems with the checkout processing. We cannot get past the confirmation page. The whole process hangs while trying to go from checkout_confirmation.php to checkout_process.php. While we are still testing we have used only payment options of Cash on Delivery or local credit card entry (not authorizenet /paypal or other gateway). The order table is never updated and no emails are sent. I've got no idea where to start looking. If anyone has experienced similar issues, or might take an educated guess to point us in the right direction I would be very grateful. BTW it does not matter if we are purchasing with or without account, the hanging still occurs. |

| It could be your shipping options. If you are trying to use UPS ground for a non US address. You really do not give enough detail for any real troubleshooting. Need to know the entire setup, whether you have made any code changes, what template is being used, what shipping, payment and order total modules are enabled, etc...

| Thanks for your interest Michael. I have found the "source" of the problem - the what rather than the why. As we are still in testing mode, I had a number of payment options on, including authorizeNet (although we will not use this). So I've just been cleaning up the payment options on the checkout page, removed AuthorizeNet and bingo, my checkout works! This is with COD payment or manual CC processing. I reinstalled AuthorizeNet and the checkout process hangs again. I need to be clear that in this testing, we have never selected authorizeNet as the payment option to use. We have only used COD or manual CC processing. So our fix is to remove the offending payment option as an option. |

| I think the issue is that you should not have 2 credit card processing modules enabled at any one time. Either use Anet or the standard CC module, but not both. With that being said, I have never run across this problem even having multiple cc modules enabled, so I think the root cause may be something else, and the symptom is what you are experiencing. If you do manage to track down the actual cause, I would be interested to know what it is.
