Default Navhead problem please help

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to customize a template onto OSCMax v1.7 and so far everthing is going find but I have a couple of problems that I am hoping someone could help me out with.

1) The template that I am using has a single .gif navhead for the boxes that inclues the corners as part of that .gif so I need to remove the corner .gif that come with the BTS system of OSCMax v1.7, I have gone into ../templates/../boxes/box.tpl and I have been able to remove all the corners for all the boxes except for the ones for the categories box and the one on the "Specials for month" and the "New Products for month" bar.

2) The second problem that I having is that on all the boxes the right side of the navhead is cut off. I know it is cut off because when I expend the size of the boxes, than I do get the complete Navhead .gif but than everything else looks wrong. Also on the "Specials for month" and the "New Products for month" bar I do have the complete NavHead .gif which leads me to believe that what I need to do is to decrease the width of the navhead .gif called for, but again I can not find where to make this change.

I have search but can not find where to make these changes. I have even done a search on the forum but all I could find are fixes for earlier version of OSCMax and when I look for the suggestions for these earlier fixes I can not find the suggested areas on OSCMax v1.7. Does anyone know where I can make these changes?

Thank you all for any and all help.
Jose

1. Do you have cache enabled? If so, go to Admin > Tools > Cache Control and "recycle" (delet) the categories box cache - this should show your updated box header. The specials and new products boxes - I'm assuming you're talking about the ones that appear in the middle of the page? These are generated from catalog/includes/modules/default_specials.php and new_products.php. These files use the infoBoxHeading class to set up the top bar of the box. You have two options: 1. You can change the layout of the box heading for all boxes that use this class in catalog/includes/classes/boxes.php - just look for the section that says "class infoBoxHeading" and modify the code; or 2. You can delete the class declaration in the default_specials.php and new_products.php files and copy and paste your html code from the box.tpl.php that creates the header.

2. I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to describe here - it would help to post a link to your site so we can take a look. If it's the column width you're looking for, it is defined in catalog/includes/application_top.php here:

Code:
// customization for the design layout
define('BOX_WIDTH', 125); // how wide the boxes should be in pixels (default: 125)
Good Luck!

Hi bdneuman,

Thanks for the help. I have been able to fix the second problem with the navhead being cut off but not the other problems that I am having, #1 with the corners on the categories box and the "Specials for the Month" and "New Products for the Month". I try to go to my admin tools section to set the cache as you suggested but at present it will not allow me due to an syntex error in SQL which I have not been able to figure out, (please see my other post, subject "Admin Syntex Error") so I am going to have to set this one aside till I get that problem fix first. Than after I get that fix I might upload my work to my live site so that you can see it if I am still having this problem with the corners.

Again Thanks for you help.
