Paypal ignoring Discount coupon -

i found a fix for OsC but this doesn't make sense to me on OsCMax.

i have oscmax 1.7 with the already installed GV module unaltered.

the discount shows up on the checkout but is missing from the paypal invoice.

I do not know where to look for this problem - please can someone help me?

Was the discount applied properly to the total sent to Paypal? The invoice itself from Paypal will only show the total, not the individual line items....

No, Paypal shows the amount before the coupon is applied.. then adds shipping.. it doesn't seem to see the discount at all. There was a fix for OsCommerce, i tried that but it did not seem to work

I'm not fluent in PHP by a LONG way so i'm not sure where to look for solution.

One thing I did was to update my Paypal IPN contrib to the latest version. I used this one:

I am assuming it includes the fix for whatever problem your having because all of my new customers get a coupon when registering and most pay with Paypal - my coupons work correctly. You might try upgrading and see if this solves the problem...

Now i have the new Paypal and it's much more sophisticated looking - but it's still ignoring the coupon. Hmmph. I will have another look tomorrow to see if i can find a fix.

Kristina, I had the same problem. What fixed it for me was changing the shopping cart method to aggregate (1) instead of itemized. It then passes the correct information to paypal. If you run across a better fix please post back... I loved the way the itemized paypal looks ... but it screwed up the discount.
Here is the area in the payment section that I changed
Shopping Cart Method
What type of shopping cart do you want to use?
1=Aggregate, 2=Itemized

I came back to post that was the solution that i found that worked for me... LOL.

Now off to personalise the order emails etc.
