how to see orders placed but not checked out?

I'd like to be able to see orders that have been placed but for some reason the customer has not yet gone through the check out proceedure.

Any ideas as to how to accomplish this?

Go to phpMyAdmin and look in customers_basket. This is where the carts are stored, but only for registered customers. You can look up the customer_id under the customers table to see who it belongs to.
