Discount Coupons

How are Discount Coupons supposed to work? I'm running osMax 1.5, I've seen the documentation at http://oscdox.com/modules.php?op=mod...ftVoucherSetup but this relates to setup and configuration not how it works for the customer. A brief explanation from someone please would be very helpful.

Well short version is the customer gets a coupon "code" with your "default" text explaining how much it is for and that you may redeem it when you "checkout" on your site.

Long version - same as above but After you get the "code" they may give this to whomevery they want (friend, wife, boyfriend, mother etc...). Then they can shop on your site and selected there items. When done they would select checkout and entered there shipping address or login to an account then it will show you your total purchase - with a spot for REDEEM COUPON code spot. Then enter there code (see above) and it will deduct the amount off the purchase (within the prameters you have setup the coupons for). Proceed to payment - and pay Balance (if any) with any other PAYMENT options you offer.... Voila .... Done.
