    Default Order detail problem

I've been zipping away in a real time store, using PayPal as the main payment method (I won't go there in this thread), and I had a customer create an account, placed and order, paid via PayPal, and when the order came through, it was blank as the customer. No problem, I'll just go into "edit" on the order and fill it all in, right?

So, I went to the customer's details, and cut and pasted all his info into the order that was blank for the customer. Only the shipping address is blank. It brings the telephone number and email address with it.

So, I put it all in, updated it, and it doesn't show up. When you see his name on the main order screen, where all the orders are, and click "invoice, packing slip, or edit", it shows no address. But, if you click edit from the main order screen, and it bring the individual order up, and you click on "edit", then it brings all the fields up to edit, and his name and address are all filled in. However, if you click "back" to get to that order detail, it doesn't show his name or address.

It's not happened with anyone else. This happened a few days ago, and I thought I had solved it by editing the details. However, he just placed another order and it's the exact same problem. When I looked into it a little more, I see that his original order than I manually filled in, doesn't show up in the order totals report. It's like that order has no owner.

Also, I have 2 sets of buttons at the bottom of that order (and all orders). I have 2 sets of "invoice, packing slip, and back".

Any hints? Shouldn't I be able to manually fix this? Can I fix it in the database? If so, what would I need to do?

    Thanks-

Okay, went into the "orders" table and found both of his orders to have a "Customer ID" of zero. I went into the "customers" table, found his ID number, and entered that and saved it. That seems to bring up his orders when you click on "customer" and then "orders". However, I still haven't been able to figure out why you can see his address when using the "edit" button, but not when just viewing the order, or what's causing it.

Still having this problem. Anyone got any help, or perhaps I haven't explained it clear enough?

I do not know what would cause this. Did you mod the orders page? Add any other mods that we should know about? This is not normal behavior and I bet it is related to a mod that you have made somewhere. If you keep good records of your mods, you should be able to backtrack them to find the problem, othewise you are pretty much stuck doing it the hard way, poking through code until you find the issue.

It could also be this guy Purchased Without Account, and it does not want to store the info... You may want to try that route as well. Test orders using PWA and normal signup and compare the results.

Thanks Michael- no mod's done to the orders page. In fact, I've installed no-mod's that I recall. This is as clean as it gets. I did check the PWA status on the orders and there seems to be no pattern at all. It's not one or the other.

Thanks for trying. Not sure where to go next. I'm fine with manually fixing it in the database, but I haven't gotten my arms around all the files and fields I need to cover yet.

    Thanks again-
