Couple of questions

Hi all, no 1 good place to post this so thought I'de give it a shot here.

I'm currently evaluating 3 oscommerce installations: osCommerce, Cre Loaded and obviously oscMax.

Cre Loaded and Max are looking favourets at the moment. Although CRE does seem to have a few broken contribs.

The site I'm debveloping will sell timelapse movies and will be available in 4 versions
1. Web quality
2. Video quality
3. DVD quality
4. HDTV quality

items 1 - 3 will be via digital download following payment through paypal/2checkout.
Item 4 will be shipped via UPS

Am I correct that I can set up this download/shipping configuration using options for each product.??

I would also like to link the small product image in such a way that when clicked it opens up window media player / quicktime etc and plays a sample video file instead of displaying the large image... does anyone know if/how this is possible??

Thx in advance for any advice / guidance.

ps. One thing I noticed when installing MAX... no sample data is included (I did choose the option for sample data) - it makes evaluation somewhat harder

Yes, you can have downloads for some, shipping for others. You should be able to stream media too, but you will have to code that yourself, changing the javascript action of the popup window. Should not be hard to do.

You can easily create your own sample products, and that is the best demo for how easy it is to use. Once we get a few more features in, we will worry about the sample data...
