Images won't upload???

I'm in the admin module adding a new product.
This is the first product I've ever added, and it's just a test product for now.
I created a simple jpg on my desktop.
I click the browse button, locate the jpg and add it.
The path shows up fine.
I have already given the product a name and description, so I click the Preview button.
There is no image.
If I look at the properties of the image placeholder though, it's path is "http://safetyquip.centralstatesenterprises.com/images/".
So, I clicked back.
I manually uploaded the jpg file to the "http://safetyquip.centralstatesenterprises.com/images" folder via ftp, and then pasted in it's full path (http://safetyquip.centralstatesenter...s/testprod.jpg) in the Products Image box.
But when I do that, it won't even let me click the Preview button.
When I click it, nothing happens at all.
Really weird.
The Cancel button works fine.


Any ideas what's going on???

Oops. Nevermind, I just answered my own question.
I just had to give 777 permission to the entire images folder. Then when I uploaded the pictures, they actually showed up.
