    Default osC module integration

    Hi all,

There is a standard osCommerce module that says it will do the price break logic I need to impiment on my site.

Is there any guideline for patching MAX with standard osC mods?

Any advice for a newbie would be GREATLY appreciated before I dive in and trash my site.......(again!)

    Thanks in advance,
    Derek

Not sure that this helps but it was something I noted for myself.

Since osCMax uses the BTS template system, small modifications need to be made to most contributions that add changes to the catalog/shopping cart end of osCMax. Once the small changes have been made, almost all contributions will work perfectly in osCMax. ***

I think if you go to the OSCommerce Contributions and read about the hooks that it placed in the normal OSC install it will help you with the hooks you need to watch in OscMax (which BTW I think is killer compared to OSC 2.2). From the posts to these forums it sounds like you can do the mods... you just have to watch out for installation instructions that do not take into account the BTS system. From what I can gather it means that alot of the mods they are going to tell you to perform will have to be performed in the BTS templates directory. (Shopping cart mods and so forth).

This was a post about the module that you are looking at I think … maybe you can post a follow-up to the original poster to see how they solved the implementation.

In case you need the BTS info here is the link from the Contributions site

Good luck.. and if you are able to get it working post back and let me know on the forum … if it’s not to hard maybe I’ll give it a shot to

    Thanks for the info.

I'm too tired to do this now (UK Time), and if I do, I'll only mess it up!

I'll give it a go over the weekend when it's quiet. (unless "SHE" has other ideas!)

    Cheers
