categories box - double-line items not showing properly

I could not find the solution to this problem in the guide or in the forum; I'd appreciate your help. I've just installed osc max with a brandnew download of v1.7.

In left side categories box, any categories item that requires two lines will not show properly. Basically the box seems to be configured for one-line category items only, and most of the second line gets cut off. I definitely need two lines for some category names.

Did I make a mistake during installation? Has anyone encountered this and solved it?

Any ideas how to fix it? Appreciate your help...

Solved the main part of this already. It's related to the "enable display a dhtml menu" setting in admin, my store. I had not been familiar with this before. Aside from this dhtml menu quirk, the "cool menu" remains empty.

After setting the display to "standard menu" that one is just fine, so that's the interim solution.

im having the same problem, both dhtml and cool menu, overlap text in 2 line categories

This is changed by setting the line height or line width in the dhtml menu file /catalog/includes/categories_dhtml.php, or making sure that your category names will fit on one line.

Specifically:

define('LEFT_LINK_WIDTH',110);
