Easier way of viewing and processing orders?

Hi All,

I don't know how many of you have used Miva...one of the things I like about Miva Merchant is the "batch orders" feature. It allows you to view and print out a set of orders with one click. All the orders come out of the printer all nice and neatly, not running off the end of pages, one order per page.

I guess this is partly related to the old issue of whether or not to set up automatic payment processing. It seems like many of my clients don't want to pay for automatic payment processing, nor does it seem to make sense to me for new ecommerce sites that have low order volume. Plus some folks have mail order management systems set up and need to get the orders into the main system. It's a lot easier for those folks to be able to print out a whole batch of orders at once.


I've looked through the contributions on OSC site and can't find anything like this. Does anyone know of any mods to make dealing with orders easier for the admin?

Another thing on my mind is why does Miva show the CC info in the orders in admin? Wouldn't it be insecure for their system to do that? In fact, all the other ecommerce systems I have seen show cc info in the orders admin. Just wondering...

Yes, there is a MUCH easier way. We just installed Batch order center and life is MUCH , much easier. Here is the contribution:

It works incredibly well although we had to tweak the templates, the instructions. If installing, be sure and set your permissions on the directories to the right settings or it won't work. We had to set the directory AND the files manually to the right permissions and it works like a charm!
