Default Need some info on osCDox functionalit

Hi everyone,

I'm looking forward to being involved in this community.

I have a few questions.

1) if i have one site that needs 3 templates, (ie a camping cart/fishing cart/marina cart) and each one needs to have a different skin and be able to switch to that skin via a php $_GET or another method (basically link to the cart as index.php?skin=camping) and it will load the appropraite files how hard would this be to do

2) does this have membership levels? i.e. a paid member can get 15% off all products? like gold platinum etc..all get different amounts off

3) what kind of reports does this have?

4) it has CND (canadian) processing capabilites correct?

5) does this or can it be intergrated with beanstream processing?

6) 4 levels of categories

7) upload an excel file of products

also how hard would it to display certain categories with a certain template, ie if the camping template is shown, just show camping categories.

Sorry for all the questions I would really appreciate any answers at all you guys can provide.

thanks

TW

Yes all of that can be done with OSC/MS2MAX

1) Use the template switcher - or if you want a differnt URL for each of the three (but with the same BACKEND -and can limit items for each store) that can be done also.

2) Yes - you may have to add a contribution to have price levels. It's been done before.

3) Test it out to see reports - you can also make your own or add other that have been done by others (even use Cystal Report on MYSQL does work - I have done that)

4) Yes - depending on WHO you use as a processor - see the contributions. (ie: PAYPAL IPN DOES USE BOTH CANADIAN and US BASED PROCESSORS).

5) Yes - see http://www.oscommerce.com/community/...,1/search,bean

6) Unlimited levels

7) Excel CVS - IMPORT/EXPORT in OSC -YES!

Good Luck

Hi,

they have recently been renamed to README_osCMax_1_7.txt and README_osCMax_GRAPHICS.txt and both are present in the zip. The welcome page on new installs will be updated shortly...

Regardless, you should be reading the README files whatever their names may be.

He's right. You forgot to include alot of the readme files in the new version.

Here's a copy from a MAX 1.7 zip I saved.

All the text files are there when I check.

I have moved the codebase to CVS so all files get included in every new build automatically. Just to be safe, I exported the 1.7.0 release to a new zip and put it on the server last night. I am positive all the readmes are in that one!

the file in your download sections still appears to have no .txt files. is it possible your server is caching the file or i am myself (i cleared cache and same deal)
