change from max 1.5

hi I have a oscmax 1.5 installed. Its max and it's not the aabox version. It seems to me that there is little support for this and it's causing me a lot of trouble as i'm a bit of a begginer. Iwould like to change either to the standard ocs 2.2 ms2 or to max1.7 so I can use some of the contributions out there without a breakdown. But i've just finished my shop. Is there any psable upgrade or downgrade procedure? Really urgent. thanks

osCMax v1.5.5 is also the aabox version, just older than 1.7.

To upgrade 1.5.5 to v 1.7, dowload and install all the packages in this section:

Follow the directions closely, and remember to backup your files and database before doing the upgrade.
