I doubt it's true with this AA MAX.... there may be bugs but they're unlikely to be intentional. I've never found anything at any rate, and I have looked.

fsyong, this is completely false. The code is 100% open source, so there is no way to even do this. Any bugs are open for the world to see, and are usually pointed out very publicly here in the forums. There is nothing hidden, nor any requirement to host with AABox. The goal of osCDox and the osCMax package is to provide a more functional e-commerce solution out of the box, free, with as little hassle as possible.
There is only one version of osCMax. We are not hiding a special version just for our customers. There is one version of osCMax v1.7, and you can get it in the downloads section. This is the same version that AABox installs for its customers.
Whomever gave you this information watches too many X-Files re runs. There is no conspiracy. The truth is out there... (sorry, couldn't resist)

fsyong, it doesn't matter who told you. It is false information. osCMax is free. Try it for yourself and see firsthand that the person who gave you that info has no idea what they are talking about...

I have been using oscommerce ms2-max for a long time now with no intebtional bugs and a ton of help and documentation. If there is a bug that you find you can post it in the forums(After searching of course.) and it will be answered with a fix usually within a couple of days.
Whoever told you this info is clueless as to what he is talking about.
