Default OSC-MAX v1.7 Installation

If I install this package over my OSC-MAX 1.55 will it overwrite my data and will i lose everything. IOW is this a brand new installation?

Do you already have 1.5 running live? If so, you should put this in a different directory and then customize it. Might be a lot of work to do that. If you aren't live yet it might not be too bad. Masek can probably tell you which files have changed. I can tell you that upgrading from OSC almost 2 years old is pretty time consuming.

When you say data, do you mean your products and such? If so then just make a backup copy of your database and then you can always reload it. If you are talking about your files you have changed make a copy of them and then you can compare the ones you want to insert to see if anything is different. Like your CSS and such. You should definitely save your english/files. I'm not sure how many files are changed but most of your customizing is done with the BTS template and your CSS. You may be best to save everything, delete it and then do a fresh install. Then you can put your DB back and change your files over. Using Beyond Compare you can easily see any changes. I'm not an expert at this and someone else may have a different or better opinion.
