Getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error creating an account.
Also getting the same error trying to login to an account and trying to checkout. Any ideas, all server-based requirements have been met.

I am a newbie at this, please help.

Looks like it errors out trying to connect to the secure server, make sure you have an SSL certificate installed correctly.

SSL, Ok I am new at that too.

Explain how the whole SSL certificate thing works in the case of OS Commerce and what i have to do. I know SSL is installed in Apache on my hosting provider, but I don't know squat about it beyond that.

contact your host...they may be able to help you get the SSL Cert and install it for you...if they can not help you get it...look on the net and you will find different companies who sell the certs...like Thawte...just do not get a "shared cert"...get your own...if your host can't handle it...get a different host
