We had the same problem. We uploaded the bigger images to the images_big folder and then just browsed for the small image and for some reason it worked. Keep in mind that when browsing it will lable the image image.gif upon upload. Good luck.

hmm thanks for the suggestion eviternity, i tried it but doesnt work. The thumbs works, but the larger image doesnt. I dont understand why its reading the main image directory if i specified the thumbs for all thumbnails. Any other suggestions? Im guessing its a file or a path i have to edit that didnt get edited or just went crazy in a few hours. its been working fine for a few weeks now. Please help

Here are my settings and I am having the same problem exactly I think...

In the Dynamic Mopics settings I have the following:
Code:

Big Images Directory ------------------ images_big/
Thumbnail Images Directory ---------- thumbs/
Main Thumbnail In Thumb Directory -- true
Number of Pics per Row ---------------- 4
Mo Pics Extension ----------------------- _pic
Main Big Pic Extension ------------------ _big
Mo Pics Thumbnail Image Type -------- gif
Mo Pics Big Image Type ---------------- jpg

When I create a product, I am typing exactly this into the "Product Image" field (and I am NOT clicking "BROWSE"!!):
Code:
thumbs/test.gif

After I hit the "Preview button"... the images are broken. I click the update button and the pictures are still broken and the location the picture is trying to draw from is http://mysite.com/image/test.gif

The problem is even though I am typing "thumbs/picname.gif" the "thumbs/" is getting stripped off the location. I have installed my cart to the root "public_html" rather than creating a "catalog" directory, and if this is breaking it I need to know how to fix it.

Any luck yet EddyXP? I actually got it to work for about a second. I used Easy Populate to reupload my entire cart and specified the "thumbs/" before the image on every product. However when i opened and added a product manually through admin, it broke the link on "EVERY" Picture in my store.

I have read other posts on the site and can't find a single solution to work now.

EddyXP, if it was working, and now it is not working, you changed something. Either you changed your procedure, or you changed something in osCommerce, or on the server.

Code that works one day 286 times cannot stop working on its own. Check your procedures, most likely a minor change somewhere in how you are doing it is causing the problem.

Hey msasek =) I havent changed absolutly no procedure at all. Ive uploaded my products as ive always done. The time it happened, i had put a product up succesfully right before it. Then it just all changed. I have the stock oscmax with the bts 1.2a upgrade, i havent touched a single line of code after i started listing products.

I see where your coming from abuot the code working 286 times and not working, but thats exactly what it did, and its entirely illogical. I tried to just save it in the main images directory but the big images are broken no matter what directory you put them in. I then thought about changing the mopics screen but that would be useless because the past products would be broken too.

Please help, as i cant help myself in this one.

Something HAD to change. Stuff that works just doesn't magically stop working without some cause. I have been doing this too long to ever be convinced otherwise

PM me a login to your admin and I will see if I can find anything wrong...
