Default How can I tell if MAX has modified a file?

I want to install some other mod's not in MAX but most of them say that they just replace the existing files. However, I don't want to replace a file that MAX has already modified.

How can I tell if a file has been modified by MAX?

    Is there a way?

    Thanks

    Read up about BTS.....

Do not blindly copy files - compare the files (use tools like Beyond Compare) and MANUALLY make changes as needed....some code for BTS moved to a *.tpl.php file....

Always MARK or put a comment on any code you change - for future updates/upgrades/addtional mods etc....

Question: Which mod are you wanting to add? (We may be able to take a quick look and see if someone else already did it or if there would be some definate problems - or none)

Don't install mods that replicate a part that exisits in MAX as you will have problems (code change conflicts).

    Good Luck

I'm looking mainly at big_images 1.25-2.2MS2. I posted a thread asking if it worked and no one responded, so I thought I'd try and figure it out myself, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for!

Yea - you will more than likely have some problems - MAX already has a contribution called Mo_pic which, I think, can do a simular thing (can add upto 16 or more pics per item).

You can still try to add it if you like the feature - just compair the code and see if the MAX version already changed the code or if it is plug-n-pray compatable.....
