Any ideas? PAYPAL IPN Not posting! Searched boards.

Any insight at all is greatly appreciated.

I've tried everything I know for days. I have now turned off autoreturn in both Paypal and oscMax 1.55 with the latest PWA.

The order goes through now but no posting of the order. Now I don't even get an email notification. It goes to the buyer from Paypal though. I have turned off forced cookies. Sessions true.

URL for IPN at Paypal is http://stressbank.com/catalog/ipn.php as I saw in the post.

Previously I got an email that notified me of an order with the transaction #. At that time, I had the autoreturns on and no IPN URL but autoreturn url of http://www.stressbank.com/catalog/checkout_success.php with cookies forced and sessions True.

Any ideas at all???? I have been all over this board and the one at oscommerce. Do you think it could be PWA???? I will uninstall just to get this thing working. My store is live. I am getting desparate.

What about the status. I have them both set for paypal ipn in localization and the payment setting. I have tried others. The links are viewable in admin but no orders.

It's a miracle!!! I got an IPN post after struggling for weeks with this.

But it only works if they are signed up with an account at PayPal.

If not, the order is not posted in admin, and I don't get any emails from the store with bug reports or notifications.

I get them all if the buyer is a member of paypal. This can't be normal, can it? I know I've seen this issue somewhere so I will look some more but does anyone know about this issue? Wouldn't this be a PayPal site problem?

NOTE: I was so frustrated trying to get this to work, I just installed a whole new store in another directory and was starting from scratch and was going to trash my former store. Then it worked! Well, sort of. LOL

Forget my last post. IPN not working. THANKS for this great osMax program but the IPN %$#@. Just venting frustration.

I tried installing a stock OSMAX in a another directory and changed the paypal settings to point to that while I checked it, added the BTS upgrade, then dropped in Paypal 1.7 for Max. No luck at all.

I changed settings many times so I my last question is, should it work out of the box like this? I also tried changing the config file. I'm not using SSL.

I have read hundreds of pages at oscommerce and the boards at Paypal site and now I'm too filled with information that means nothing to me anymore to be productive. I'm now back to my original store since I had better luck with that one.

I'm officially giving up in defeat tonight in a few hours after several weeks of working on nothing else but this so I'm looking for any little morsel of a clue at all of how anyone has solved any problems with this. I followed the instructions in the IPN thread above.

Has anyone installed a newer version with luck?

PS. I am redirected by to login after checkout at PP, rather than checkout-success or checkout_process so wouldn't that indicate that it is an issue with sessions being terminated?

Also the Item Title comes back as the name of the store on the Paypal receipt. Is that correct?
