| Anyone tried to install the "multi-product move, copy, erase" mod in MS2-MAX? (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/...ucts_multi.php) I went through the installation procedure, and the option shows up in my admin menu. But when I click it, it sends me to "forbiden.php". (which says: "Access Denied No Right Permission Access *Please contact your Web Administrator to request *more access or if you found any problem." I've checked permissions on the file the link goes to (admin/products_multi.php), and it's 755. I asked the author of the module what to do, but he said he didn't even know about a file called forbiden.php -- meaning (I assume) that there's some specific issue with MS2-MAX. Does anyone know how to get this working? I'm desparate to erase a big heap of products all at once, and don't want to wait through hours of page-refreshes. Also, it's a module that is highly needed for osC. Why aren't products easier to delete? This should get built into the next version. Thanks, Greg |

| Michael has a post in here about going into phpMyadmin & truncating the data in the products tables & leaving the structure. Maybe save your store products in EasyPopulate. Remove the entries/ records you don't want. Post a down for maintenance page. Truncate the data in phpMyAdmin. Upload the new EasyPopulate.

| This sounds promising. How do I "truncate" data in phpMyAdmin? Is there a way to simply select many listings in the products table and then delete them? The main thing was that a bunch of products accidently got duplicated (through my misunderstanding of the EasyPopulate mod) -- about 150 of them to be exact. They were spread, somewhat randomly, over many categories. I'd love to hear your approach to zapping all of these within the phpMyAdmin interface. I'll take any solution that works. Note that I only barely understand PHP, mySQL and phpMyAdmin. best, Greg |

| Code: Note that I only barely understand PHP, mySQL and phpMyAdmin. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/ is where to start. What you are looking to do is: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/DELETE.html
