Product Description to Product URL bug??

Hi all.

When using Easy Populate I keep getting the product description in the product url field. Has anyone tried fixing this bug?

I have recently upgraded EP 2.71 but the bug still appears.

Any ideas about this.....

PS what is your experince when dealing with 500 products to be uploaded. Thoughts or tips are welcomed., trying with Open Office at the moment. However its not very good when it comes to HTML formating, so I guess I have to stick to dreamweaver, cut and paste 500 html paragraphs into open office excell. DS

vandiike, I am using EP 2.72 with max and do not see this behavior. Perhaps update to 2.72?

In my extracted folder it says it is the 2.72 version.
And in my file easypopulate.php it says...

$Id: easypopulate.php,v 2.71 2003/11/27 VJ Exp $

If there is a newer version I will try it with this. Could you please post the link here.

On a similar note: Should there be a update log after each successfull upload? If there is no log showing, = somthing is wrong/error?

Well it works now.
I was reminded correctly to read the manual again....so I did.
However faild to see where it states out that:

"That each product MUST have a unique model number or imports will fail. v_products_model cannot be blank, and must have a unique value for each product."

But that helps so thanks alot for your help.
Is it the manual that needs updating or my eys?

vandiike, this is taken directly from the readme first file included in easypopulate in the DOCS dir, so I think you do need to check your eyes :

IMPORTANT NOTES:

EasyPopulate requires the use of the product_model field (model number). This is the FIRST column. IT WON'T WORK without the model number. It will create duplicate products if you do not use the model number. The model numbers you assign must be unique, i.e. you can't give all your products a product_model of "test".
